Sidel to focus on green issues

Sidel, the packaging equipment and bottling line supplier, is to show visitors at Interpack 2008 how its products help address environmental issues without compromising product safety.

Sidel, part of packaging giant Tetra Laval, will be showcasing its waterless bottle decontamination system, Predis, and a range of drinks containers, including a PET bottle that weighs 9.9g called NoBottle.

The company also offers upgrades to enable firms to reduce their environmental impact through water or energy savings without investing in new equipment.

Sidel will also be displaying a secondary packaging conveyor system for PET containers, consisting of three robots, and a laser-guided palletiser from Elettric 80.

Sidel will be on stand B15-C15 in Hall 13 of the Messe Düsseldorf.

Interpack runs from 24 to 30 April.
