Scholle Packaging increases prices
Scholle Packaging is raising its prices globally by up to 12% across its flexible packaging range.
The Dutch company provides flexible packaging for dairy, wine, beverages, food, processed fruit and industrial products.
However, in a statement the company said: "The packaging industry can no longer absorb the sustained increases in petroleum derivatives particularly related to flexible packaging feedstocks and fuel used for distribution.
"Rather than compromise our commitment to our customers, it is necessary to institute a comprehensive price increase in tandem with cost-saving enterprise processes."
Scholle Packaging has facilities in North and South America, Asia Pacific, China and Europe.
