Quinn Glass secures Cobra contract

Quinn Glass has won a four-year contract to be the sole supplier of glass for Cobra beer.

The glass manufacturer will be the main contract packer for Cobra and will pack both the 330ml and 660ml bottles in six, 12 and 24 cluster pack formats.

Quinn will manufacture the bottles at its sites in Derrylin, Northern Ireland, and Elton, Cheshire.

However, as Cobra's volumes increase Quinn intends to move all glass production to its Elton site, where the bottles are filled.

A spokesman said: "Quinn is delighted to welcome the Cobra contract, having brought the production of glass and the filling across from Poland."

The company will supply the on- and off-trade markets in the UK and the majority of Cobra's foreign markets.
