Josh Brooks has been appointed as the new editor of Packaging News and www.packagingnews.co.uk.

Brooks, currently deputy editor and news editor of PrintWeek, Packaging News's sister publication, replaces Gordon Carson, who leaves the magazine at the end of June.

Brooks, who will join Packaging News on 21 July, said: "I am greatly looking forward to taking on the challenge and developing the Packaging News brand even further."

Wayne Manning, publishing director of Haymarket's Print and Packaging Group, said: "I would like to thank Josh for all his past efforts on PrintWeek and wish him all the best on Packaging News."
