M-real's Chromolux range holds FSC certification
Paper and paperboard manufacturer M-real has announced that its Chromolux range, which consists of cast-coated boards and label papers, is now manufactured from wood holding FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) chain of custody certification.
Certification applies to the whole Chromolux range including cast-coated boards, premium quality boards and single-sided cast coated label papers.
Printers, convertors and others in the supply chain can now use the FSC logo on items that use Chromolux if they themselves hold FSC certificates.
Chromolux boards are distributed in the UK by Robert Horne paper merchants, the label papers are available from both Robert Horne and PaperCo, both merchants hold FSC and PEFC chain of custody certification.
Forest certification is a voluntary system aimed at promoting sustainable forest management in commercial forests, taking into account the environmental, economic and social aspects of forestry in a balanced way.
Chain of custody certification, either PEFC or FSC, is held by all of M-real's paper and paperboard mills.
