Resealable pack for Pilgrims Choice
North Downs Dairy has redesigned the packaging of its Pilgrims Choice cheddar range, which it will launch at Nantwich cheese show today (29-30 July).
The company carried out consumer research prior to the redesign of the packaging and found that people wanted a resealable pack that would not require secondary packaging to store it in the fridge.
Pilgrims Choice brand manager Hannah Fordred said the company "had a look" at other resealable packs including sticky labels, but decided the zipper pack stood out on shelf.
North Downs Dairy worked with Tunbridge Wells-based advertising and marketing agency WFCA on the redesign of the packaging.
The new packs are expected to be rolled out across all retailers by the end of August.
