Sun Branding Solutions (SBS), the pre-press and packaging artwork agency, is offering a new service to brand owners called Legal Impackt to speed up and streamline the product-to-market process.

Bradford-based SBS, formerly known as Watt Gilchrist, said the service will provide brand owners with creative copy and assurance that the text on packaging complies with the law, all in one process.

The technical text will be written by a team of qualified legal labelling advisers, while the creative copy, required by marketing and design, provides branding and the desired customer information.

The company said there were 10 people in the Legal Impackt team.

SBS managing director Paul Bean said they would provide pack copy that was "accurate, appropriate, helpful and legal".

"Simply put, our Legal Impackt team are the 'legal detail' and 'creative copy' working in harmony," he said.

SBS, owned by inks group Sun Chemical, includes brand design agency White Zone, brand graphics firm Gilchrist, Sun Brand Technologies, which offers the Odin brand management technology, and the packaging technology and database service Your Packaging Partner.

Clients include Asda, Somerfield and Twinings.
