ColorMatic upgrades ink dosing machine
ColorMatic has added two standard features to its automated ink dosing machine for packaging and commercial printers.
The first is a new touch-screen operating panel which allows all Pantone recipes plus any spot colours to be dosed within minutes.
The second is an optional mini-printer for producing job labels detailing recipe information, date, batch numbers and any special customer references.
ColorMatic's UK agent is Db Machinery, a division of Fix-a-Form International in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.
The firm has sold 10 ColorMatic ink dosing machines, which are used to mix conventional and UV inks, since it took on the agency in 2003. They are recommended for any medium to large printing company mixing spot or special colours three or more times a day.
The machine costs €60,000 (£47,500).
