SICK UK to exhibit its range of encoders at PPMA

SICK UK, the sensor and sensor systems provider, will be displaying its DFS60 range of high-resolution encoders at the PPMA Show which opens its doors tomorrow (30 September).

The DFS60 range includes 18 different designs meaning it is suitable for a wide range of packaging applications. The machines achieve high positional accuracy at competitive prices, SICK said, with a basic model costing £100.

Darren Pratt, SICK encoder product manager, said: "Its versatility means the DFS60 is ideal for machinery development and integration work on complex or bespoke systems. It can also be held as a replacement stock item for a wide number of applications."

The DFS60 is IP65 protected, has a shock resistance of 70g, and uses a nickel code disk to reproduce the accuracy of traditional glass disks without the fragility.
