Stretch film price comparison website goes live

The owner of packaging distributor Pure Packaging & Print has launched www.thestretchmarket.com, a price comparison site for hand roll stretch film.

The website publishes the best prices for a range of stretch films and sends the orders directly to the film manufactures.

The website then receives commission from the film manufacturers.

David Grice, managing director of thestretchmarket.com, said: "As a packaging distributor we will phone around the leading manufacturers and converters, often this can take a while to do, so we thought it would be a good idea to take the time and trouble away from other distributors and end users."

At present the website has four partner manufacturers onboard and two European suppliers have made contact with it in order to break into the UK market.

Thestretchmarket.com said all its suppliers have had their quality checked and verified.

Its target market is the two-to-ten pallets per month users.

The product will be delivered on a three-day carrier network.

The website is free to use, however, it requires users to set up an account. Once a credit check has been completed, customers can start placing orders.

Customers will be invoiced directly by the supplier.
