Boxes Prestige, the printed folding carton manufacturer, has designed gift packaging for Calvin Klein underwear.

The new packs, which are due to hit shelves before Christmas, have been developed to give a "classic look" appropriate to "one of the biggest names in underwear".

The bases of the box are printed in flood black with a gloss varnish and are bright silver foil-blocked using Calvin Klein logos and text to improve brand awareness.

A silver gimp cord holds the lid and base together.

Boxes Prestige account manager Ray Grundy said: "It's a sleek design which we think will really appeal to people buying a present for a loved-one."

The Northampton-based firm is part of Clondalkin Group's specialist packaging division that includes Harlands Labels and PG Guy.
