PackCare launches IBC rental service

PackCare, the WasteCare subsidiary specialising in industrial packaging, has launched ContainerCare, a rental service for Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBC).

PackCare will provide new and re-manufactured containers directly to a company, which fills them with product and then distributes them to its customers.

PackCare will then collect the empty containers from anywhere in the UK and Ireland and return them to its Leeds facility for reconditioning and testing.

Chief executive Bob Taylor said the service would reduce companies' carbon footprint by 70%, reduce the amount of waste going to landfill by 100% and cut costs by 40%.

"Our aim is to ensure the lowest possible environmental impact, combined with the lowest costs for compliance," he said.

Scott Bader, the manufacturer of speciality polymers, has become one of the companies to sign up for the service.
