Ball partnership opens Serbian can facility
Terra Production, the food and drink manufacturer and packer, has opened a new EUR11m (£9.6m) beverage can filling facility in Indija, Serbia in partnership with Ball Packaging Europe.
Ball, which provided the technical know-how to set up the can filling line, also supplies the facility with cans from its production plant in Belgrade.
The facility can fill all sizes of beverage can and supplies beers, soft and energy drinks to customers in Serbia and neighbouring countries. Its capacity is around 30,000 cans per hour.
The plant is fully automated and is preparing to introduce ISO and HACCP quality and safety systems.
