Mercury boosts sales operation with new appointment
Mercury Packaging, a converter and printer of flexible packaging, has appointed Mark Binks in the newly created position of sales manager.
The company told Packaging News that the role aims to strengthen the company's sales on the back of its acquisition of food packaging firm Certiforms in January.
Binks will be responsible for developing new business opportunities across all divisions including food packaging, but mainly focusing on the company's popular 'Safe & Secure' series of high strength, tamper-evident bags and pouches.
He will also be involved in new product innovation and design.
Binks was previously sales manager at office materials supplier Demet Technology, and spent 12 years at flexible plastic packaging firm Britton Group, where he held a number of roles.
Mercury Packaging employs more than 50 people and has a turnover of £5m.
