APS-sponsored rally team passes Czech point

An Automated Packaging Systems-sponsored rally car has made it to Poland on its 10,000-mile journey from London to Mongolia.

APS has sponsored students Alice Paisley and Juliet Waud in the rally to celebrate 25 years in Europe and raise money for Save the Children.

The team left London on 11 July and passed though France, Belgium, Germany and the Czech Republic and are currently in Poland.

After the race the Nissan Terreno 4x4 ambulance – "Norbert" – will be donated to a local hospital. It is fully kitted with hardware and medical supplies.

APS European marketing manager Mike Healey said: "With significant funds raised for Save the Children and a fully functioning ambulance for the Mongolian people, the team's epic endeavour is set to deliver benefits on several levels."

The girls are set to travel through Turkey and Kazakhstan before reaching Mongolian capital Ulaan Bataar.
