Staeger Clear Packaging named UK company of the year

Staeger Clear Packaging was named packaging company of the year at last night's glittering UK Packaging Awards ceremony.

Around 400 people attended the event at the Grosvenor House hotel in central London to see the Coventry-based rigid plastic carton manufacturer take home the award in a tightly fought category.

This year's deserving winner of the Outstanding Contribution award was Robert Opie, founder of the Museum of Brands, Packaging and Advertising, who took home the award for celebrating the role packaging plays in creating society as we know it.

The event also included awards for environmental company, best packaging of a new product and innovation of the year.
