Film manufacturer targets easyFairs orders after MBO
Newly formed Bespoke Polythene Packaging (BPP) is offering a discount on orders made from its range of plastic packaging and films at this month's easyFairs Ecopack show.
BPP is the result of a management buy-out at film manufacturer Paperfeel that was completed in December with the aim of providing a custom service for quality packaging without premium prices.
Joint managing director Brian Woods said: "Continuous development of our proprietary Paperfeel and other films has meant we can offer an eight-colour print process that is affordable for a wide range of products including pet food and horticultural goods."
The firm produces a range of films, including biodegradable, and will be showcasing its work on reducing gauges to improve material yield at the easyFairs show. BPP will also be showcasing its printed sacks and bags.
"We are large enough to manage long runs, but small enough to be responsive," said Woods adding the firm had successfully won contracts by stepping in when businesses had been let down by previous suppliers.
BPP said it was looking to reach a wide cross section of the industry at the Ecopack show. Anyone who places an order at the show, which will be held on 24-25 February, will receive a discount. BPP will be on stand 303 at the Birmingham NEC.
Woods and Jane Descroches are joint managing directors, Gitana Blackwell is the firm's production manager and Geoff Southwell is technology consultant.
