Chesapeake has invested more than £1.5m in the Belfast facility that produces cartons, self-adhesive labels and patient information leaflets.
The new Komori press is equipped with the PQA-S print assessment system that inspects 100% printed sheets and is said to identify even the most minute quality discrepancies.
It is almost identical to the press installed at Chesapeake’s Leicester site last year.
Chris Dears, general manager at Chesapeake Belfast, said: “The press will strengthen our capacity and position the operation to benefit from further growth.
“It will also provide fantastic production flexibility as it is configured to set-up and run at very high speed, which will allow us to meet tight deadline requirements with top-quality work.”
