Deadline for ‘Ones to Watch’ Awards extended

Organisers of the PPMA Show have extended the deadline for its One to Watch Awards to 15 June 2012.

The ‘Ones to Watch’ contest, which took place for the first time last year, will feature at the PPMA Show at Birmingham’s NEC from 25-27 September 2012.

It recognises the contributions of processing and packaging professionals under the age of 35 who have worked in the processing and packaging industry for at least four years.

Last year’s winner was Nicola Swann (pictured) of Videojet.

Nominations from every area of the industry are welcome, with individuals who have shown exceptional entrepreneurship, commitment and diligence within their current role making ideal candidates.

Entries will be reviewed and short listed by a panel of judges including Chris Buxton, chief executive of the PPMA Group and Graham Earl, exhibition manager for the PPMA Show. A public vote will then help the judges decide the Gold, Silver and Bronze winners.

All finalists will win a Festo Training & Consulting workshop and be exhibited as part of the Achievement Gallery on the PPMA Stand at the show. Gold, Silver and Bronze finalists will also win additional training courses, and the Gold winner will receive a 50% discount on the first 50m of their company’s stand at the PPMA Show 2013.

If you are a manager and work with someone who you think should be nominated for the Ones to Watch, go to to recommend them before Friday 15 June 2012.
