EFI Jetrion to target packaging market following launch of 4000 inkjetjoegill, 1 October 2007Be the first to comment on this article EFI Jetrion wants to use the label industry as a springboard into the wider packaging market after the European launch of a full production model of its 4000 series inkjet printer at Labelexpo last week.
"We're making bold moves in industrial inkjet, and there's a great opportunity for us to bring the machinery to the packaging industry," he said. Marketing director Sean Skelly said the company had already been working with Crown to develop "greater decoration" for aerosols. "We start projects by looking at the inks – in this case it was necessary to have an ink that would withstand the forming process – and then build the machinery around it," he said. The EFI Jetrion 4000 series is suitable for short- and medium-length narrow web production and can run at speeds of up to 30.5m a minute. It is available in four- and six-colour versions to create images with resolutions of up to 900 dpi. Speak Your Mind |
