GPI displayed a range of concepts for new markets at its Bistro-themed stand, including brand new innovations for coffee & tea, cakes, confectionery, desserts and drinks companies. “Visitors commented that discussing projects in this way really brought our design concepts to life and highlighted how GPI operates across Europe”, commented Nikki Clark, marketing manager convenience and consumer products.
“Being able to discuss projects with potential clients over a coffee and macaroon, made on the stand by Couture Treats, was an extremely successful way to conduct business. We’re looking forward to taking these conversations to the next level over the forthcoming weeks.”
Members of GPI’s Design team were on hand to guide visitors around the high-end designs and print techniques being developed at GPI’s Global Innovations Centre.
Clark continued, “We received a particularly enthusiastic response to our print finish samples, which feature effects we have developed specifically for the Whisky and Spirit market. Visitors representing Premium Food and Beverage products were especially fascinated to see how we are interpreting design trends, and see for themselves that when it comes to top end packaging, almost anything is possible.”
Other highlights included the unveiling of GPI’s concepts for Patisserie brands, developed in association with Linpac Design, Featuring innovative carton bases and thermoform lid solutions,
Nikki concluded, “As always, Packaging Innovations is the highlight of our exhibiting calendar, being the perfect stage for the talented team from GPI Europe to present our innovative carton solutions – and this show exceeded our high expectations. Congratulations to everyone involved for yet another successful event.”
