Ineos Nova and DuPont to raise polymer prices in September

Ineos Nova and DuPont have announced packaging polymer price increases from next month.

Ineos Nova said in a brief statement today (27 August) that it would raised the price of its general purpose and expanded polystyrene by EUR50 a tonne from 1 September “due to expected feedstock increases”.

The price of high impact polystyrene will be increased by EUR 65 a tonne on the same day.

“The cost of poly-butadiene rubbers has been increasing continuously over the last few months,” Ineos Nova said in the statement.

DuPont Packaging & Industrial Polymers, meanwhile, has said it will increasing the price of its Elvax and Elvaloy resins by EUR 100 and EUR 150 a tonnes, respectively as of 1 September.
