Ineos Nova and DuPont to raise polymer prices in SeptemberJosh Brooks, 27 August 2010Be the first to comment on this article Ineos Nova and DuPont have announced packaging polymer price increases from next month. Ineos Nova said in a brief statement today (27 August) that it would raised the price of its general purpose and expanded polystyrene by EUR50 a tonne from 1 September “due to expected feedstock increases”. The price of high impact polystyrene will be increased by EUR 65 a tonne on the same day. “The cost of poly-butadiene rubbers has been increasing continuously over the last few months,” Ineos Nova said in the statement. DuPont Packaging & Industrial Polymers, meanwhile, has said it will increasing the price of its Elvax and Elvaloy resins by EUR 100 and EUR 150 a tonnes, respectively as of 1 September.
