The Stockport-based firm said the expansion would enable the firm to target the food industry with its range of bespoke packaging.
“Our new machinery combined with in-house tooling makes our service very versatile for quick changeover times that make us very economical for short-batch runs,” said managing director Graham Kershaw.
As part of the investment, Macpac has bought two new machines – an Illig RV74c and an RD53c that is said to be the first of its kind in the UK.
The firm’s plant has been expanded with an extra 15,000 sq ft of space to incorporate a new palletising system.
