Latching on to the Valentine’s theme, the limited edition Pink Lady apple packaging has been designed to boost sales and brand awareness this weekend.
The Asda promotion is in conjunction with an on-pack competition, in which the apple producer has teamed up with the new Warner Bros film “How To Be Single”.
Maxime Delacour, assistant marketing manager at Coregeo, the master licensor for Pink Lady in the UK, told Packaging News: “It was a shared objective with Asda to offer something special to their customers for Valentine’s Day. So we developed this heart shaped tray, perfect for Valentine’s Day and thanks to the distinctive colour of Pink Lady they really stand out. This promotion is this first of its kind here in the UK and at more than 120,000 trays is one of the highest volume promotions we’ve run to date in Europe.”
