H&M creates new Philadelphia-Cadbury pack design

February 2, 2012 Comments Off

Design firm Holmes & Marchant has created a new brand identity and pack design for Philadelphia’s new Cadbury-flavoured products.

Cadbury’s chocolate is being mixed with Philadelphia to make a new spread.

An image of a piece of bread with the spread on it features on the new pack. Half of the pack retains its traditional white and blue colour scheme.  The other half of the pack features Cadbury’s royal purple colour scheme.

Cadbury’s owner Kraft believers the Philadelphia-Cadbury combo can rival Nutella and will generate more than £10m of business over the next year.

A £3.2m marketing push will back the new product, which will sit alongside existing brands in the processed spread’s portfolio such as, Philadelphia Light and Garlic & Herb, currently the biggest-selling flavour in the Philadelphia portfolio.

Kraft already sells chocolate variants of Philadelphia in both Italy and Germany under its ‘Mika’ chocolate brand as a breakfast alternative.

The product appeared on shelves today (1 February).
