WINNER

Kingsway Printers: Waitrose Patagonian Roeless Scallops Labels

High definition (HD) technology isn’t just the preserve of wide screen TVs; it’s taking print by storm too and was used to create the labels for Waitrose’s Responsibly Farmed Patagonian Roeless Scallops packs. Our judges were impressed by the quality of Kingsway Printers’ label, which, they said, resembled a high quality photo. The printing plate technology uses ultra fine anilox screening, which helped to enhance the look of the pack. The judges felt that this initiative was a great example of pack and product working in harmony.

HIGHLY COMMENDED

As if winning wasn’t enough, Kingsway Printers also scooped the highly commended prize. Judges really liked the fact that it was easy to peel and that it delivered “a better consumer experience than similar packs”. “An excellent use of peel and read,” said one judge.
