The research was published by financial advisory firm Catalyst Corporate Finance. It states that China is aiming to become the world’s largest packaging producer by the end of 2012.
The new study also suggests that Chinese ambitions will alter the global market, creating more competition and making it tougher for EU companies.
However, researchers also say that this will create new opportunities for the FMCG and industrial packaging sectors.
