Seymourpowell designs footcare brand Actifreeze

October 27, 2009 Comments Off

Design agency Seymourpowell has created the packaging and brand design for healthcare company Passion for Life Healthcare’s over-the-counter PediTech Actifreeze wart and verruca treatment

The design is aimed to convey to consumers that the product is professional, safe and effective.

The product comes packaged in a canister that ensures accurate dosages of the treatment, which freezes a wart or verruca to its core, while isolating it from the surrounding tissue.

At the centre of the design is a brand mark – ice-blue concentric circles cut through with white, containing a silver circle and the name Actifreeze in the centre.

The canister is packaged in a carton, manufactured by Utermöhlen, with a film that enables consumers to view the product.

The combination of metallic and vibrant colours is intended to make the pack and product appear reassuringly premium, yet accessible.

Alison Free, brand manager at Passion for Life, said: “Seymourpowell have created an identity that challenges the category norms, therefore giving us great brand presence at point of purchase.”

Actifreeze is available at Superdrug shops across the UK.
