FMCG giants set for world talks

Senior representatives from corporations such as Unilever and Coca-Cola are meeting next month to discuss developments in RFID.

A global panel of investors and experts will discuss the progress of the RFID industry, during the RFID Smart Labels USA 2007 show in Boston.

The RFID Investment Summit, hosted by analysts IDTechEx, will focus on the profitable and unprofitable sectors of the technology.

IDTechEx said the RFID industry was “emerging from its transition stage”, and that real-time locating systems were starting to flourish.

The summit takes place on 20 February and is the result of a collaboration between IDTechEx and venture capitalist firm Quan Ventures, an early investor in RFID technology-based companies.
