Atlantic Zeiser teams with Xaar to unveil label press

The full-colour UV Gamma 70 series builds on existing technology being used to produce ID cards, and the firm said was ideally suited to a range of narrow format in the packaging and labelling sectors.

The Gamma 70 incorporates Xaar 1001 greyscale heads to print on a wide variety of substrates at speeds of up to 24m a minute in a single pass. It can be integrated into sheet-fed and web lines due to a 70.5mm print width.

It is available in two models – the 70S for wet-on-wet printing and the 70P for both pinning and wet-on-wet for barcodes, pictures and logotypes.

Michel Gilet, director of business development and strategic marketing, said the firm had high expectations for the Gamma 70, which is already being used by a major label manufacturer.

“The Gamma 70 Series will support users in increasing both margins and productivity,” he said.
