The business, which formed just over a year ago in Mantova, Italy, has set up a UK sales and service operation in Burton-on-Trent, headed up by managing director Richard Portman.
Makro Labelling UK will offer after sales and service for Makro products that are built at the Italian parent company, which was set up around a year ago by a team of Italian labelling experts.
The business said that its modular labelling machines include innovations designed to save bottlers both time and money and two, the Universal Infeed Scroll and the Magic Star, have already recieved worldwide patents.
The Universal Infeed Scroll, the company said, can handle a number of container diameters without the need for a changeover.
Meanwhile, the Magic Star is designed to accommodate up to three bottle sizes without the need for a change, offering bottlers two major savings; the cost of change parts and space for storing change parts in the bottling hall.
Portman said: “Brands have a shorter lifespan these days, so rather than have machinery that becomes outdated, clients have peace of mind that the modular Makro Labeller can cater for any future trend without major expense.”
