RPC goes east with Polish acquisitionstevenkiernan, 1 November 2006Be the first to comment on this article RPC Bebo has strengthened its grip in Poland after buying a maker of thermoformed pots and trays for the ready-meals and sweets sectors. The takeover of 4 You Sigal extends RPC’s capabilities in thermoformed food tubs and opens new business opportunities, said the firm. The new acquisition forms part of RPC Bebo Polska’s Poznan Polish business interests. “It has extended RPC Bebo Polska’s capabilities in MAP packaging with a wider range of products now available to customers,” said Krzysztof Banach, general manager of RPC Bebo Polska. “It will also open up new opportunities in the confectionary sector.” The products join the RPC Bebo portfolio of multilayer and monolayer pots, disposable and reusable trays, tubs and other containers. “This underlines the importance we attach to continuing to expand our presence in Poland,” added Banach. “4 You Sigal has established a good reputation in several key sectors and we will capitalise on this.
