Avery Dennison Roll Materials Europe vice president and general manager Don Stoebe said: "Our converters have clearly expressed a desire to purchase our RFID products with the same ease that they purchase our Fasson brand products." The firm's new RFID European Test Centre will demonstrate RFID applications within its largest European self-adhesive materials manufacturing facility. Avery Dennison chief executive Dean Scarborough said in the firm's third-quarter earnings report that RFID was one of the firm's "most significant growth opportunities". "We estimate about £25m ($50m) in sales from RFID-related products next year," he said. In June, the firm "significantly increased" its presence in RFID with the acquisition of Paxar, the global supplier of RFID and identification systems.
