Reabrook marks 50 years of contract manufacturing

Reabrook is celebrating 50 years of contract formulating and manufacturing leading products at its Moira site.

The company began in 1968 as a small business called Arrow Chemicals in South Derbyshire, which has transformed to supplying products in a variety of packing formats for commercial, industrial and retail applications throughout the world.

The company initially supplied industrial chemical cleaning solutions in liquid format but has grown over the years to also incorporate products in aerosol and tube formats, supplying a wide range of markets from oil and gas and automotive through to haircare and toiletries.

Reabrook was acquired in 1987 by Yule Catto, and returned to private ownership in 2006 with a management buy-out by current owners Malcom Watkins and Tony Brealey.

“We are an independent and privately-owned company,” said Brealey. “Since the buyout we’ve really concentrated on developing the business by putting a lot of our resources into new manufacturing capabilities at our 14-acre site here in Moira in Derbyshire.”

As well as a focus on sustainability, Reabrook also been a contributor to The National Forest, helping to establish woodland, parkland and forest at its sponsored site in Boothorpe.
